SWISS Partnership to become SWISS Trust?
After 5 years of successful and exciting collaboration the SWISS Partnership Schools are exploring the benefits of becoming an educational Trust.
The governing bodies of the individual schools consider that the plans to develop the SWISS Partnership into a SWISS Trust represents a natural progression to the collaborative work that has already taken place. The Trust will enable the development of a more formal, sustainable and legal partnership between the schools and introduce an exciting range of external partners.
We'd like to know what you think about the SWISS Partnership forming a new educational trust. We want to make sure that you know about the benefits of trust status for our Partnership of schools and what the proposed changes will mean for our own school and community. We also need you to give us your feedback, so that the outcome reflects your wishes and we can be sure to address any concerns.
More information is available at www.swisspartnership.org. Here you can find a comprehensive Consultation Document, an extensive series of Frequently Asked Questions and the opportunity to complete a simple Feedback Questionnaire online. Printed copies of the Consultation Document and the Questionnaire are also available from the school.
Whether you are a parent or carer, governor or member of staff, or a member of the local community, please find out about the proposed changes and give us your feedback via the Consultation Questionnaire. This consultation will be open from 1 October until 13 November 2009. A series of 'drop in' consultation sessions have also been arranged at SWISS Partnership Schools.
A state of the art top class learning complex will sit at the heart of a network of high quality learning providers
The new 14 to 19 centre will be truly inclusive, offering a diversity of opportunity with the flexibility and adaptability to meet the ever changing demands of the 21st century
Below is an animated plan for the SWISS Centre. Please use the controls at the bottom of the animation to play it.
The partnership has an excellent record of developing collaborative working. The SWISS Centre will aim to be a top class centre providing a broad and flexible curriculum for young people. It will also support the workforce by providing a wider network for educational and business professionals and extending professional development opportunities and career pathways.
Words such as high quality, excellence and top class are often too easily used. However, these are truly descriptive of the aspirations we have for the environment in which we want our young people and staff to develop and flourish.
This once in a lifetime opportunity can transform 14 to 19 learning in this area of Suffolk.
