Obama Is President

Today’s News from BBC, Barack Obama made his speech and has experienced his first day as President of United States of America and the credit crunch is affecting our country.

He is the first black president to rule the United States of America. In his first speech as President he said “We have chosen hope over fear unity and discord, the state of the economy calls for action bold and swift. We reject false, the choice between safety and our ideas.”

As he said in his speech, he would get straight down to work, he called Gaza, and tried to reconstruct the Palestinians and he commanded 30,000 troops to leave Iraq to help out in Afghanistan.

We interviewed Mrs Elvin English teacher at Chantry high school and she answered “I think its amazing, I didn’t think it would happen in my lifetime. If they were my children, I wouldn’t want my children dragged into media. He can’t fix everything in four years, I don’t know if he would last” Also we interviewed Miss Ribbans another English teacher from Chantry high school. These are her points on Obama “I don’t know if he will be a good President, but he is a good signal of hope. He will influence people and has already influenced millions of people.”
